Knit In for Breast Cancer Awarness October 14, 2007

On Sunday, October 14, 2007, TBS welcomed Care to Knit to St. James for a KnitAlong in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. We had a great turn out as many knitters and crocheters in the community joined together to create beautiful scarves, chemocaps and lapghans for women undergoing breast cancer treatment. These items will be distributed to patients receiving treatment throughout our Long Island communities.
Thanks to Ines Glick, Founder of Care to Knit for her presentation and to Cool Beanz for their delicious coffee and pastries and of course to all the crafters that came out to help…whether by knitting along with us that Sunday or by dropping off completed items beforehand…
